Yesterday was a stay at home day watching football all day. We also got some things put away for our travel day today. We left shortly after 11:00 this morning and got as far as the driveway in the front of the RV park entrance. As we looked down the road we saw a Franz bakery outlet store right next door. We love their bread so we parked the 5th wheel and ran into the bakery.
Soon we were on the road and heading for 101 south. We traveled inland for quite awhile and were wondering where the ocean was. We’ve gotten so used to traveling down the coast it disappointing to not see the ocean. We did finally see it though.
This one’s for you Dortha. It’s where the Rogue River flows into the Pacific Ocean
While we were driving down the coast we called one of the RV parks we had looked at last night and made a reservation. When we arrived we pulled in and pulled right back out. The sites were soooo small and really close together. We had seen another park across the road that was right on the beach. We checked at the office and they had plenty of sites available. If we had a motorhome we would have taken one of the sites directly across from the beach but since they cost extra, the plug ins were on the wrong side, and we don’t have a big front window we took one of the back in sites overlooking the marina behind us. We aren’t going to be spending that much time here anyway.
We ran to the grocery store for a few things and checked out the local seafood market. Nothing there looked intriguing.
We came back home and had leftover spaghetti, salad and garlic bread for dinner. After we were done we walked over to the beach for the sunset. We were just a little late but got a great view anyway. Tomorrow we’re heading down to California to see Redwoods National Park. It’s only about 30 miles from here and should be pretty incredible.

Glad you are having fun, but wishing you were with us...hugs until next time.
Great photos, thanks for taking us with you. Great sunset! The sign says great wifi, that's a good thing too.
How simply gorgeous! I would be fine w/looking at the marina! Steve would spend most of his time looking at the sailboats!

We have lived here 10 glorious years! Welcome to Brookings. My husband is the guy who is out there fishing the Chetco for salmon in his wooden fishing kayak. I bet you have seen him! We have a store behind Mattie's Pancake House next to the HairPort. Come on in so I can meet you.
