Yesterday was a day of chores like laundry and grocery shopping. We needed to get ready for travel today. After we were done with that we drove down to Nye Beach. Jenny had told us this was a place to see. It is an historic district of Newport and there were lots of shops and restaurants. We didn’t buy anything but we did have to check out the beach.
This morning we packed up and left South Beach headed another 100 miles south for Coos Bay. On the way down our Pressure Pro started beeping and we found we had a low tire. Luckily we have a portable generator and an air compressor. After putting in some air we headed out again only a half hour later.
We didn’t make any reservations but we had a place in mind. We drove in and found they were full, but we actually had a “plan B”. We drove to our “plan B” and they had plenty of room so we’re here at Alder Acres RV Park for the next four days. We plan on doing some exploring in this area which hopefully will include a tour of the dunes in a dune buggy.
We crossed several bridges along the way and of course always had the Pacific Ocean out my side.
We just had to stop at one more pull out
We’re getting closer
I see the sand dunes across the bay!
We’re not sure what’s on the agenda for tomorrow but should be something good.
